30th Anniversary
Tarot of Ceremonial Magick
by Lon & Constance DuQuette
In 1993 a friend and I drove from Costa Mesa, California to Miami, Florida to attend the American Booksellers Association convention to pitch my new book, Tarot of Ceremonial Magick, to my publisher, Donald Weiser of Samuel Weiser, Inc. I carried with me the original artwork of the companion deck of cards, that my wife, Constance, had completed coloring just one day before I hit the road for Miami.
At the convention Donald liked my pitch book and immediately dragged me over to the US Games Systems exhibit booth and introduced me to the publisher, Stuart Kaplan (who was also a life-long friend of Donald). “This is our author, Lon Milo DuQuette. We’re going to publish his book and you’ll be publishing his cards.” I was stunned, but said nothing. Stuart looked at the artwork for a moment or two then nodded his head and said, “Okay.” That was that. The whole deal was closed in 7 minutes. The book and the cards were both released in 1995.
Constance and I are proud and gratified that for 30 years the cards have been well received by tarot lovers, magicians, and students of the occult around the world. This 30th Anniversary Edition of Tarot of Ceremonial Magick is the third printing, published by our friends at Next Millennium and Magical Omaha, and is the latest and finest incarnation of what has become for many a classic of modern magick esoterica.
We hope the magick of the Tarot of Ceremonial Magick will touch your life and be a useful tool for your own Great Work.

“The Tarot is the DNA of the Qabalah. Properly decoded it reveals not only the mysteries of the Qabalah but also those of Astrology, Ceremonial Magick, and all other Qabalah-based systems.
It is not our intention to lure you away from any Tarot deck you may currently fancy, but to help you understand the incalculable power and significance of whatever deck you may be using.”
